Studio Thesis Project | 2018

For this project, I worked with TEAM Malawi, an organization at Virginia Tech that works to improve the quality of life in Malawi while providing learning opportunities to students in Africa as well as the United States.

We designed ZIDA, a patient monitoring system for infants in rural hospitals in Malawi. The system is composed of a monitoring wearable that measures heart rate, respiration rate, and temperature, and a smart device app that displays this data and alerts caretakers to patient needs.
